From Intern to Full-Time Consultant. Barcelona, Spain.
Started in February 2024, and ongoing.
Fantastic second professional experience! Beginning in the Transformation & Technology business line of the Consulting Corporates business unit, for the first time ever in a Big-Four consulting firm, first as a Functional/Strategic SAP Consultant at CIO Advisory, and then moving into a more technical (and polivalent) role as an SAP ABAP, BTP & AI Consultant in KPMG's SAP Center of Excellence.
During my time at KPMG, I contributed to:
The development of a Python script for data cross-validation between SAP MM tables in SAP R/3 and S/4HANA, during a PMO service for a client in the healthcare industry. This script, named SHIBUYA, enabled my colleagues to allocate efforts on more important and non-automizable tasks. These efforts reallocation is valued at over €250,000.
SAP R/3 maintenance services, including ABAP development of custom SAP FI-CO Z reports for daily execution, bug fixes, SAP BASIS administration, SAP PI/PO interfaces management, and daily system monitoring, for a client in the public sector.
Developed a warehouse material label (SAP Smartform), with its corresponding GS1-128 barcode, including custom ABAP code, for a client in the food and beverages industry. It is estimated that the customer prints approximately 13,000 units of this label per year.
ABAP In-App Extensibility in SAP S/4HANA, adding custom logic to sourcing and procurement apps in S/4HANA, for an IBEX-35 client in the energy industry.
SAP CIO advisory projects for strategic SAP migration assessments, including transitions to S/4HANA or alternative ERP solutions, for a client in the real estate industry.
Creation and delivery of over 15 client deliverables, including 'AS-IS', 'TO-BE' and 'TO-DO' proposals.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to participate in an SAP Partner program that began in June 2024 an lasted until November 2024:
SAP Next Level AI Program, in which we developed both a use case including SAP Business AI and its business plan, presented to SAP peers at the SAP office in Barcelona. Keep reading to learn more!
This experience in KPMG represents the kick-off of my career as an SAP consultant!
6-Month Apprenticeship Programme under KPMG, in Partnership with SAP. Barcelona, Spain.
Started in June 2024, concluded in November 2024.
Kicking-off my AI journey! In June we, as KPMG, began our SAP Next Level AI programme with the objective of developing SAP Business AI use cases in SAP BTP, leveraging the entire SAP AI portfolio. The programme included an initial two-day academy sessions, in which we covered:
SAP Build Code to develop full-stack applications leveraging Joule's co-pilot capabilities.
Generative AI capabilities with SAP AI Launchpad and SAP AI Core (SAP Generative AI Hub).
Following, we carried out an innovation workshop in which we brainstormed potential use cases to be develop in the upcoming months. Once each team had a use case assigned, we moved on to:
Designing the application to be developed in SAP BTP, both functionally and technically.
Designing the user interface of the application to be developed.
Developed the front-end using SAP Build Apps and integrated with Xano as the backend.
Integrated our AI models with our application to fulfill our SAP Business AI use case.
Finally, we carried out pitch sessions at SAP's Barcelona offices, in which our use case was selected as Top #1 Most Innovative SAP Business AI Use Case of the day, out of 5 presented.
And voilà! SAP Business AI use case ready to go!
First Internship Experience. Barcelona, Spain.
Started in January 2023, concluded in September 2023.
Great first professional experience! During these 8 months, I worked in the Customer Assurance department of the 3D Printing Solutions business unit, where I managed to have a positive impact in the organization through the responsibilities I was assigned to:
Extracted, processed, visualized, and presented customer-related data in newsletter format for informational purposes, serving over 500 colleagues.
Engineered Python automation for a, back then manual, MS Excel reporting process, bringing the delivery time from 72 hours to approximately a 10-minute long execution, resulting in a remarkable 95% performance improvement.
Automatised forms in MS Excel by implementing a macro (VBA), with an estimated yearly usage of 250 executions.
Provided vital cross-departmental support by maintaining monthly reports and forecasts.
Co-led continuous improvement initiatives through machine diagnostics analysis.
Choosing HP as the first step in my career was an incredibly accurate decision given the amazing work culture of the organisation. Super cool place to work!
Double Degree Qualification in International Computer Engineering and Management of Business and Technology
Started in September 2018, concluded in June 2025.
Long educational journey! Two international degrees at once: computer engineering and management of business and technology. Throughout these years, I have been trained on a wide spectrum of technical and business matters, incredibly fitting in today's technological and business landscape. Furthermore, given the international nature of the programme, I had the privilege to internationalize my learning journey with different business and engineering study trips around the world (explained further below!).
Additionally, my final computer engineering thesis was graded 10/10 with honors:
Computer Engineering Thesis: "Aira: AI-Powered BIM Assistant for Architect-to-Model Interaction".
This academic journey has been nothing less than challenging. From here I would like to salute all my peers and the fantastic people I have met throughout the years, as well as my dearest friends and family for being the most supportive of them all. You know who you are. It would not have been possible without you.
And now... on to the next!
